There are many different activities to do and sites to see for everyone in the family. Explore the breathtaking beauty of Manitoulin Island. Walk through the downtown Little Current with the many shops and restaurants that line the street or walk down the pier to see the many different boats and watch the swinging bridge. Little Current is about 15 minutes away, by going south on highway 6 from our location. Espanola boosts many different stores including Independent, Price chopper, Giant Tiger, Canadian tire, and the mall located next to price chopper. They also have the paper festival that accentuates their largest industry. Espanola is about 15 minutes away, by going north on highway 6 from our location. The largest city in Northern Ontario, Sudbury, has many retail chains and activities going on all summer long. Is it raining out and want to get away, Silver City is a top notch movie theater that has a variety of movies playing, to fit any family’s needs. Science North is a hands on learning facility, that no matter what age you are, will always keep you interested. Want to learn the history of this city’s industry, visit the giant nickel at the Nickel Mine. Sudbury from Whitefish Falls is about 1 hour away, by taking highway 6 north to highway 17 east. All of these cities have many different churches that could fit anyone’s particular needs. Espanola and Little Current each have one golf course and Sudbury has many. They all also have city websites that boast their different attractions and if you have any questions just ask. Every year there is an art show held at the Whitefish Falls community center, which is open to the public at anytime. Bayvilla lodge also hosts an Art school that is taught by one of the area’s most distinctive artist Rick Edwards. The class is usually held during the last two weeks of july |
